International Women's Day
So what is International Women’s Day? to celebrate women’s achievement, raise awareness against bias, take action for equality. These are all true and women should have equality in all parts of the world, which even today is still not the reality for may women.
My own personal experience as a women in business for over 15 years as been a positive one overall, I like many others have struggled with my work - life balance, juggling family life with my work life. My business as always been and still is very demanding resulting in working long hours and having to make difficult decisions, then feeling guilty because I wasn’t home in time to make my children there tea or put them to bed. This is a dilemma most women face and feel no matter what they do for a living or how many hours they work, there is never enough hours in the day. After all that said I love my business I wouldn’t want to do anything else, I love helping other women feel good about themselves, helping them with fashion tips and putting outfits together to give them confidence. My children are now grown up and doing very well in life, so I did my best and my best was good enough, just like millions of women around the world, be kind to yourself because your best is all you can do. Remember happiness is letting go of what you think your life is suppose to look like and celebrating it for everything that it is.
